8:30 am – We leave from the Watertown Plank Park and Ride with additional pick-ups in Grafton and Sheboygan and head for The National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI.

The National Railroad Museum’s 33 acres are the site of an increasing collection of historic railroad equipment. Some pieces are housed in the enclosed Frederick J. Lenfestey Center, while others are on display outside and under the roof of the Victor McCormick Train Pavilion. As old freight equipment was replaced and passenger travel declined, the Museum acquired unique locomotives such as Union Pacific #4017 “Big Boy,” the Pershing and Dwight D. Eisenhower locomotives, and more pieces which are representative of U.S. railroad history. The Museum now features more than 70 pieces of rolling stock, 100,000-plus small artifacts, operating / display tracks, seasonal train rides and special events.
We arrive at the National Railroad Museum in time for a Hobo Lunch (included).
Following lunch, we are led on a guided tour of the collection housed in the interior space.

Following the guided tour, you will have the opportunity to explore the exterior collection at your own pace.
2:00 pm – We board the train for an educational train ride.

During the ride, the conductor describes various rolling stock, points out highlights of the Museum, talks about railroad safety, and discusses hobo culture. The ride takes about 25 minutes and covers two miles (two loops of a one-mile circuit, traversing wooded areas, the Fox River shoreline and other Museum property areas). After the train ride there is a 20-minute movie to view. After the movie, you are free to continue to explore the grounds.
4:30 pm – We leave the station for an exquisite meal (included) on the Dinner Train.

Upon returning to the station, we board the bus and head back to our original pick-up points.
